MEET HIGHLIGHTS - District @ Middleton


"Many thanks to all those involved this year. I would like to extend a special thank you to the JMS Track and Field district team. So very proud of you this season. You have started something that will benefit you for your entire lives."

Highlights from the men's side include:

The men scored 25 points while facing very tough opposition. Jesus Gonzales prd in the 100m with a time of 12.55. Kai Curtis also prd with a time of 12.74. A young Jacob Martinez will be a threat next year after making his best mark this year of 27.24 in the 200m. Alex Cruz's light shined bright placing 5th with a time of 2:17.1 in the 800m and also 5th in 100h. Ryan Evans had a good showing placing 7th in the 200mh and also making a pr.

The Jefferson 4x100 m relay placed 3rd while the 4x200m placed 5th. Shot-putter Micha Raoelina made a pr of 34'2" and Ezra Hernandez placed 6th with big throw in discus of 115ft.


Highlights for the women's

Girls placed 5th overall in a tight group of intervalley athletes.

Kay Moore placed 2nd and prd in the 100m. Courtney Geach placed 6th in the 200m. Jaelynn Cuellar prd in the 800 with a time of 2:42. Hurdlers Courtney Williams scored team points with a fifth place finish in the 100's. as did Cassidy Stoddard in the 200's placing 2nd. Gabby Bermudez was not far behind in 6th for the 200's also. Jefferson's 4x200 relay tied for 6th place. And our sprint medley team placed 2nd overall. Krystal Good placed 5th place in the discus throwing 70'10". In the triple jump final Jocelyn Bautista placed third while inching in on a school record. And in High jump...Effie Fox and Kay Moore went 1st and 2nd with jumps of 4'8" and 4'5" respectively.
