Jefferson "A" Team Dominates West in Tennis!

The Jefferson A Tennis Team beat Nampa West yesterday 9 to 3. Our record now is
4 & 4. Winners for Jefferson in singles play were Joseph Burke, Duplica Lopett, Kennedy Cordel, and India Hawkins.
River Rowan & Luis Cuevas won in Boys 1st Doubles, and Raimi Hilton & Julissa Caceres were victorious in Girls 1st Doubles. Also winning doubles matches were Mya Pena & Ashley Roldan in Girls 2nd Doubles, Tony Dionne & Allie Chon in 1st
Mixed Doubles and Elijah Ankeny & Nora Jensen in 2nd Mixed Doubles. Great job Team!

8th Graders Interested in Joining Student Council Next Fall at CHS

Attention 8th graders interested in running for High School Student Council. Application forms for high school representative are in the office. These are due next Tuesday, April 24th and may be turned in to Mrs. Echanis or Ms. Bridgewater when completed. There will be no exceptions to this deadline so make sure to get your application in as soon as possible.

Puma Intelligencia Takes Third!

Mrs. Demshar and Mr. Saunders would like to congratulate their Puma Intelligencia team on their 3rd place finish last night at Vallivue for April's Quiz Bowl. Mount Moriah Reading for Kindles Contest!

Our annual Reading for Kindles contest starts today, Wednesday, April 4th. Once again, Mount Moriah Lodge is sponsoring a month long reading contest for all students. Simply read 100 pages in a book and come to the library to fill in your entry! There is no limit to how many times you can enter, so the more pages you read, the more entries you can have in the drawing. There will be two Kindles awarded per grade level and everyone who enters has a chance to have their name drawn!

A Team Gets Past South in Tennis!

Our Tennis A Team played great yesterday as we beat Nampa South 7 to 5.
Individual winners for Jefferson were Joseph Burke in Boys 1st Singles, Francisco Sanchez
in Boys 2nd Singles, and Alejandro Lopez Jr. in Boys 3rd Singles. Doubles Teams that won were River Rowan & Luis Cuevas, Ramie Hilton & Julissa Caceres, Mya Pena & Ashley Roldan, and Jacob Bright & Nora Jensen. Great job, Cougars! We will not have practice for the A & B Team
today. We will practice Monday.

Tennis Results Are In!

Our A Tennis Team lost to Middleton yesterday 3 to 9. Our winners were Mya Pena & Sky Hardin in Girls 2nd Doubles as they won 6 to 1. Their record now is 5 & 1. Francisco Sanchez won his match 7 to 5 in Boys 2nd Singles and in Girls 2nd Singles Kennedy Cordell won 6 to 2.
In B team action we tied vs Kuna on Tuesday 7-7-3
but lost at Middleton on Wednesday 3-10-7.

JMS Tennis Results vs. Kuna

Our Tennis A Team lost to Kuna yesterday 3 to 9 but the match was closer than the score looked. Three of our losses were on Tie Breakers and two were lost 5 to 7.
Winners for Jefferson were Duplica Lopett in Girls 1st Singles, Ashley Roldan won the Girls 2nd Singles and in Mixed 2nd Doubles Elijah Ankeny & Nora Jensen won. Good effort Team!
