Hello! Welcome to ELA 7. This year is definitely going to be an adventure, and I'm excited to have you along. 

 

Career: I am a Caldwell native, and remember when JMS used to be JJHS. This will be my fourth year teaching ELA 7 at JMS, but before that, I taught for high school English and English Learners for seven years in another district. It is a joy to be back home in my community. I am a year-round swim coach for a local club team, and I coach Cross Country and Track here at JMS. 

 

Education: I went to the College of Idaho to earn both my Bachelors in Creative Writing and Masters of Arts in Teaching. This year will also be my first year in which I am no longer also a full-time student, as I recently completed my Doctorate of Education in Higher Education from Concordia University.  

 

Family Life: I have one daughter who is starting second grade. We share our house with one giant dog, two small kittens, three goldfish she won at the fair, and five snails who attempt to keep the fish tank clean. 

 

Interests: Tea, Disney, Harry Potter, Running, Swimming, Converse shoes, Reading, Writing...and so much more.
