Orchestra Concert Tonight - 7:00 p.m. @ CHS!

47 Sign High School Football Letter of Intent!

Forty seven of Caldwell's 8th grade boys recently signed 'Letters of Intent' to join the high school football ranks at CHS next fall. Coaches, parents, student-athletes and other supporters came together at Jefferson Middle School Wednesday evening in the first event of its kind. The well received occasion provided athletes the opportunity to learn more about the program and demonstrate their commitment to becoming a Cougar next fall. Go Cougs!!

8C Team Remains Unbeaten in Boys Basketball Action!

The Caldwell Cougars C team put their undefeated record on the line yesterday vs. Sage Valley where they earned a dominating 50-20 victory. Jesus Ponce led the Cougars with 12 points and 8 rebounds, while teammate Brandon Diaz scored 10 and grabbed 7 rebounds. Hayden Long added 8 points. Long and Kaden Scott each gathered 5 rebounds, respectively. Caden Robertson had a great game, distributing the ball to the Cougar scorers, and was credited with 8 assists and 6 points of his own. Defensively, Adrian Verdugo led Caldwell with 4 steals. Coach Will Julian was pleased with his team's overall performance, calling it a "great defensive effort."

Cougars Beat Vallivue!

The 8th Grade C Cougars basketball team made it three in a row as they beat Vallivue 34 to 21. Brandon Diaz & Xzavier
Rosado led our team in rebounds with 10 each followed by Jesus Ponce with 6. Cristian Gutierrez led us in steals with 4 and
Adrian Verdugo contributed 3. Caden Robertson was our leader in assists with 4. Our scoring was balanced as Brandon and
and Adrian had 7 each, Jesus Ponce had 6 and Cristian contributed 5. Cristian did great at the free throw line as he made
3 of 4 attempts. Great effort, Cougars!

Caldwell Takes Two From Vallivue!

The 8th Grade A team won against Vallivue last night. The team was down by 6 points at halftime and played well in the second half which resulted in a double digit victory. It was a team effort with everyone contributing towards the win.

In 8th B action, Caldwell lost a nail biter to Vallivue last night with the score of 45-44. Our Cougars trailed early in the first quarter 15-2 but never gave up and nearly secured the win.

The Caldwell 8th C Basketball Team made it two in a row as they soundly beat Vallivue yesterday 39 to 17. Hayden Long grabbed 12 rebounds and 13 scored points to lead the Cougars to the win. Adrian Verdugo added 8 steals and 10 points, and three blocked shots on the day for Caldwell.

Cougars Tangle with South Jayhawks

The Caldwell C Basketball Team cruised by Sage Valley yesterday 36 to 15. "We played great defense and played well as a team", according to Coach Will Julian. Hayden Long led in rebounds with 13 followed by Kaden Scott with 10, Caeden Robertson and Brandon Diaz grabbed 5 apiece. Armando Ortiz played well on defense, leading the team in steals with 4. Caeden had a great offensive night with 6 points and 5 assists. Jesus Jimenez and Hayden Long each scored 6 points, and Adrian Verdugo chipped in 4 respectively. Congratulations on a great team effort and the win!

The 8th grade A team lost to a tough Nampa South opponent last night. The team fought hard to overcome a large second half deficit and never gave up. The 8th grade B team lost a tough battle by the score of 28-22.

Cougars and Vikings Battle in Boys Basketball Openers

The 8th grade boys A team lost their first game of the season by 6 to a tough Middleton team. The Cougars had a lead through the first three quarters before we fell behind in the final quarter. The team showed hustle and a will to win. Thank you to everyone who came to the game to support us. It was awesome playing in front of a packed house!

8th grade boys B team lost in overtime last night. Our boys played hard and never gave up. Even though we lost the game we had a lot of positives that will help us be successful the rest of the season. Great job boys!!

Box Tops Competition Needs Your Help!

The January Box Tops competition is running through the end of January. If you are able to help, clip the box tops from the cereal and other General Mills products and send with your student. Students will turn their collections in by January 31st to their advisory teacher where the winning classes earn a doughnut party! Every unexpired box top we collect earns the school money that we are able to spend on JMS students. We appreciate your support!
