Cougars Tie for 2nd in 7th Grade IVL Standings!

Athletic Director Brent Harrison recently announced that the Jefferson 7th grade football team has been awarded a plaque for their excellent showing on the field this season. When the final whistle blew, the Cougars found themselves in a tie with both Vallivue and Sage Valley for the league runner-up honors. Harrison also offered "Congratulations to Coaches Mount, Longoria and Freeman and the entire 7th grade football team for their 2nd place finish in the West Division of the IVL."


The JMS fall Book Fair has concluded and organizers report that sales were the highest in recent history. The students of JMS will greatly benefit from the sales made as new books will be purchased with the profit. The school also qualified for bonus incentives that were earned by the library staff which will also be used to buy additional books for the library. Thank you to all who came and visited the fair. The library and students of Jefferson are grateful for your support!

Girls Basketball Season Tips Off Tonight!

The 2016 girls basketball teams will take the court for the first time this season tonight (10/31) vs Emmett. The games, scheduled for 4:00 pm, will feature our JMS 7th graders at home, and the 8th graders will play at Emmett.

To celebrate Red Ribbon Week, we will have a "Spirit Week" on campus! Dress up and join the fun in the pledge to stay Drug Free!

Monday kicks off our spirit week dress up days with crazy sock
Tuesday will be "Power to Be Drug Free Superhero shirt day!
On Wednesday, Pledge Against Drugs with Plaid!
Thursday, wear that neon because "Our Future is
too Bright for Drugs!
On Friday, we will Spook Out Drugs With
an Orange and Black Out!

Art Club is at JMS!!!

Art Club is here! Art Club is on Tuesdays after school until 5:00 in the Art Room. Signups must be done before Friday. Write your name on the sign up sheet this week in order to start attending Art Club next week! Seating is limited ;)


There will be no school on Friday, October 21st, due to
parent-teacher conferences.


Last chance to attend Parent-Teacher Conferences is:
Friday, October 21st-- from 7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Teachers will be available in the cafeteria. We hope to see you there!!
(The book fair will also be open for shopping during this time).
