8th Grade Cougars Roll Emmett Huskies on Court!

The 8th grade volleyball team wrapped up their season with another win beating Emmett in two games last night giving them a record of 8-4 for the year and sending them to districts this Saturday currently sitting in 4th place. Last night the girls proved that they have the heart, hustle, and drive to overcome any deficit and played amazing as a team. Let's carry this momentum into Saturday ladies!
In their last game of the season the 8th grade B team girls showed off all their skills to take the win. Both games were very close but it was Francie in the second game that scored 11 points in a row with her powerful serve. Maria set up a great offense for Victoria to get the game winning point. The girls have improved so much this season and we came out with only two losses this year.

7B Volleyball Beats Emmett in Two Straight!

In the B game in Emmett yesterday the B team fought hard to win the match in two sets. Your Lady Cougs played the best match of the season with all of the girls serving and passing well. Mackenzie Gutierrez had the game of her life with five stuff blocks and great play in the first set. Our other middles, Hadley Lively and Kim Martinez, followed suit with many hits at the net. All of the girls served well with Eliana Perez scoring eight straight on her serve. It was a great match and a great way to end our season!

Hard Work Pays Off for XC Runners!

Cross Country had their final meet of the season in Mountain Home yesterday. Our Cougars ran well at districts against 13 other teams. Yasmine Hernandez and Demi Thompson were in the top 25 out of 250 racers. We also had several runners post personal bests on a tough course including Jonathan Santoyo who took off a full minute. Congrats team! We will have a final get together to celebrate the season next Tuesday during our normal practice time. Please bring your uniforms washed and dried to Coach Savell or Coach Cooper!

Caldwell Defeats Emmett in 7th Football! Ends 4-1!

Congratulations to the 7th grade football team for their 13-6 win over Emmett yesterday finishing the season with a 4-1 record. 7th grade players, do not stay after school today, as pictures will be taken tomorrow. Players will also need to turn in their equipment tomorrow after school.

This clinic will take place in October during school hours. Please fill out and return this form whether your child is participating or not, and return to school. All kids that return the form will go into a drawing for Dutch Bros gift cards. Contact the school if you have any questions about this program for 7th and 8th grade students.

Caldwell Hands Middleton First Loss!

Congratulations to the 8th grade football team for their thrilling 16-6 victory over previously unbeaten Middleton last night. After giving up a score on the Vikings first possession the Cougars shut them out the rest of the way including four goal line stops, a total of 16 plays inside the 10 yard line without yielding a score. The Cougars took the lead for good in the second quarter when Alex Sauceda hit Josh Martinez with a 62 yard pass and Jose Campos hit the 2-point kick for the 8-6 lead. With 4 minutes remaining Gabe Hernandez batted a Viking pass that Miguel Perez intercepted and returned 60 yards to the Viking 10. The Cougars scored on a 5 yard run by Michael Pickens and Campos added the 2-point kick for the 10 point victory.

8th Volleyball Wins Big at Borah Tourney!

The 8th grade A team had a jam packed day of volleyball this weekend at the Borah tournament. The girls played their best of the season with consistent communication, solid serving, amazing attacks at the net, and some spectacular saves. The girls knocked out Melba, Boise East, and Hillside all in two games to earn their title of silver bracket champs. Let's keep that momentum rolling into our final three games and then onto districts ladies.

8th Volleyball Sweeps Middleton!

The 8th grade A team secured another win beating Middleton at home last night. Davina covered the net with Sarray, Lilly, and be Michelle taking amazing swings at the net and Salena placing her hits and tips perfectly. Victoria's passing from the back row allowed the cougs to attack the net and Yvana closed out the third game with 14 consecutive serves!

The 8th grade B team volleyball girls pulled off a win last night against Middleton. Britnee and Maria set up a great offense that Francie absolutely dominated with a few good kills. Cherilyn did well with consistent passing from the back row. Great game ladies only one more to go!
