Last night the 8th grade volleyball players went to Kuna.  The afternoon started with the B team struggling to keep their serves in but playing well enough to win the match in two sets. The scores were 25-17 and 25-20. Julia Rodriguez played well at the net and kept the ball on their side. Excellent setting by Iris Guajardo and hits by our middles made the win possible. Serving really well for the Cougars was Fatima Zavala.  Great job, B team!

The A team played a really great match but couldn't quite pull out the win. The Cougars lost the first game then destroyed them in the second only to lose a close game in the third. 

Our C team played some great volleyball on their way to a 25-19 win!  Adrianna and Alejandra Mayoria played their hearts out with amazing serves and saved balls from scoring on our side. Our top server was Alejandra Mayoria. 

In 7th grade action, the 7th grade B volleyball team won 2 tough matches, 25-10 and 25-19. Justice Bingham led the serving effort with 14 points. Elissa, Cherilyn, Keslie, and Lexi all made key plays throughout the matches; the entire team rallied together to make great passes and never gave up on a play or each other! 

In the second game some amazing volleyball was going on. Jackie Acosta had a great Ace serve.  With the rally of team spirit we won the game and the match with a 25-10 win.  Our team remains undefeated!!!! 

The 7th grade A team beat Kuna in a close battle. Saray and Kiana had their best defensive games of the year. Selena was top scorer of the night with 12 points with Emilee Edmonds and Emily Lile both stepped up at the serving line to secure points when they were needed the most.
