The 8th grade A team played the best all-around game of their season in losing to Kuna 47-37 Tuesday night.
A month ago the Cougars lost to the Kavemen 46-17 in Kuna, but this game was much more competitive.The Cougars won the first quarter 11-8, lost the second 13-6 to trail at half 21-17. The Kavemen won the third quarter 21-8, but the Cougars responded in the 4th winning the quarter 12-5 to account for the final margin. Eric Angel was the leading scorer with 13 points, followed by Xavier Garcia with 8, Eziah Loera and Fabian Sanchez with 5 each, and Fabian Arguello, Aaron Rayo and Levi Smith each had 2. "I am very proud of how hard my guys competed, we improved dramatically from our first game against Kuna," commented Coach Harrison
Our 8th Grade B Basketball Team lost a hard fought game to Kuna Tuesday but played with a lot of energy. The final score was 26 to 18. Abelardo Lopez and Izaiah Hernandez led us in rebounds with 8 each. Abelardo had 104 rebounds for the year. Joseph Bosco was our leader in steals with 5, Izaiah had 4 and Abelardo 3. Caleb Mora led us with 2 assists. Caleb and Izaiah led us in points scored with 6 each. Gabe Burrola Had 4 and Joseph 3.
