No School on Monday, January 21st

Martin Luther King Day was first designated by Congress in 1994 as a national day of service. In remembrance of Martin Luther King, people are encouraged to serve others as volunteers in order to make the world a better place. In honor of this day, school will not be in session on Monday, January 21st.

7th Girls Basketball District Recap

7th grade basketball traveled Emmett last night to play in the district tournament. The Cougars fell to a very strong, 3rd ranked East Valley team. Despite playing from behind, the Cougars fought hard, until the very last second of the game. It was a great season, and our girls accomplished so much. Congratulations on a great season, we couldn't be any prouder of you. Please remember to turn in your jerseys.

Jefferson Wrestling Team Earns Runner-Up at District!

Congratulations to the JMS wrestling team on your 2nd place finish this weekend. Hunter Bidiman, Alex Lopez, and Jose Menchaca all won individual district championships while Gracin Go, Gabe Hernandez, and Anthony Ibarra all made the finals.

Also congratulations to Jayce Wolf, Elias Cardenas, Cesar Menchaca, Gabe Adame, Anthony Berber, Vinnie Valverde, Andronico Navarrette, Isaiah Salinas, Zack Raden, Kurtis Tapia, all who qualified for state this Saturday in Boise.

Wrestlers going to state practice tonight at 7:00 at Caldwell High School. All wrestlers are welcome.

Remember Wrestling Club Registration is Wednesday and Thursday this week.

"A" Teams Roll Vallivue in Girls Basketball!

The Caldwell 8th Grade A team beat Vallivue last night with the score of 46-31. It was a very solid performance against a talented Vallivue team. Every player contributed to the win.
In 7th grade action, the A team had an epic comeback to beat Vallivue. The Cougars got down early, trailing the Falcons 14-4. Our girls stepped up on defense and didn’t allow the Falcons to score another point! We played aggressively, fought through adversity, and came back to win 17-14.

Caldwell Wrestling Club Information

The Caldwell Wrestling Club is starting January 7th. Practices are Mon-Thur at 7:30. Scholarships are available for Jefferson Middle School students. Registration on the 12th and 13th of December at Caldwell High School in the wrestling room from 7:00-8:00. For more information talk to Coach Mount.

8C Team Wins Again! 6-0 on Season!

Caldwell's 8th Grade C Girls Basketball Team made it 6 in a row as we beat Vallivue yesterday 12 to 2.
Danielle led us in rebounds with 6 followed by Violet with 5 and Cassandra chipped in 4. In steals
Lynnaya had 4 and Ashli had 3. In assists Daniella and Violet had 2 and Gracie had one. In blocks
Danielle, Violet, and Keely all had one apiece. Lynnaya led us in points scored with 4 followed by
Danielle, Kayleen, Yanet, and Cassandra that scored 2 points apiece. Great job, girls!

8C Team Steals Game From Sage!

Our 8th Grade C Girls Basketball Team made a comeback and beat Sage Valley yesterday 20 to 17. Violet was our leader in rebounds with 7. Cassandra had 5 steals and Violet chipped in 5. Danielle, Keely
and Cassandra had one assist apiece. Kayleen and Cassandra had one block each. Our leader in points scored was Lannaya with 6. Great job Girls!
