8A Volleyball Wins Again!

The 8th grade A volleyball team brought home another win last night beating Vallivue on the road. Passing and setting was on point allowing the Cougars to attack the net and secure the win in two quick games.

Cougars Get Win Over Sage in 8B Football!

The 8th grade "B" football team beat Sage Valley 6-0 last night as Cole Oas picked off a Diamondback pass and raced 56 yards for the only score of the half. In the second half of action the Cougars lost to Middleton 14-6. Anthony Ibarra scored Caldwell's TD on a 2 yard run after a 10 yard pass from Austin Lobb to Michael Hubbard picked up a crucial first down and Connor Young recovered a Cougar fumble inside the five. The B team is in action next Monday as they face the same two teams at Cougar Field.

7C Volleyball Dominate Falcons!

The 7th grade C team took on the Vallivue Falcons in the best matches of the season. In the first game the Lady Cougars won 21-14. Our top servers were Larissa Loredo and Jade Gonzales. Bethany Hodges had an amazing hit to the Falcons that went untouched.
In the second match we won again 21-12. Our top servers were Macie Lewis, Olivia Canales and Bailey Springer. The Falcons then wanted to play a third game but to their dismay we took that game as well 21-15. The Lady Cougars had fun with this game with Yesenya Contreras and Ricky Bower as our top servers.

8th Volleyball Wins Big at Borah Tourney!

The 8th grade A team had a jam packed day of volleyball this weekend at the Borah tournament. The girls played their best of the season with consistent communication, solid serving, amazing attacks at the net, and some spectacular saves. The girls knocked out Melba, Boise East, and Hillside all in two games to earn their title of silver bracket champs. Let's keep that momentum rolling into our final three games and then onto districts ladies.

7th & 8th Grade Delta Dental Clinic in October

This clinic will take place in October during school hours. Please fill out and return this form whether your child is participating or not, and return to school. All kids that return the form will go into a drawing for Dutch Bros gift cards. Contact the school if you have any questions about this program for 7th and 8th grade students.

Cougars Squash Vipers to Pick Up Wins!

Congratulations to the 7th grade football team on their 19-6 win over Sage Valley yesterday. It was a great team effort. They are 3-0 and will play Middleton next week.

The 8th Grade Football Team improved to 3-0 in West Division play with a 22-0 victory over Sage Valley last night. The Cougar defense was outstanding throughout, forcing four turn-overs including a 40 yard interception return for a TD by Miguel Perez, a blocked punt and two fumble recoveries by Gabe Hernandez and a beautiful pick in the end zone by Josh Martinez. The Blue Defense, led by Brayden Parham, Anthony Ibarra and Wyatt Felton, had a goal line stop in the final minute to preserve the shut-out! Michael Pickens had a 1 yard TD run after the Hernandez blocked punt and rcovery, Martinez had a 20 yard TD run and Jose Campos hit 2 of 3 PAT kicks for the Cougars other points on the night. ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM, BOYS!!!

Cougars Rock it at Cross Country Meet!

Let's talk about the ladies! JMS JV Girls were in it to win it! Lauren Beltran, Natalie Avila, and A'Mya Gonzales came in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd followed closely by Mia Hernandez in 6th, and Yadi Espinoza in 8th. Yoselyn Garcia, Mayra Macias, Haylie Mora, and Marilynn Villagomez each ran best times helping the Girls' JV team to a decisive victory over Vallivue, East Valley and Freemont. Cougar runners might wear blue, but these ladies were GOLDEN!Congrats on earning 1st place as a team!
Varsity Girls met some tough competition, but rallied together to earn a second place team finish! Demi Thompson, Yasmine Hernandez, Nia Avelino, Cloey Medina, Isabel Santillan, Jazmine Villareal, and Ashley Sauceda worked hard and it paid off! Way to go lady Cougs!!
