The 6th seeded Cougars opened the double elimination tournament with a victory over the Jayhawks from South Middle School.  They advanced to the second round, where they fell to the Emmett Huskies.  In a loser out contest, JMS swept Syringa in two straight sets to set up a re-match with South Middle School.  Unfortunately for the Cougars, the Jayhawks were able to avenge the earlier loss and eliminated JMS from further tournament action.  With the loss, the Cougars were awarded fourth place and the highly coveted IVL Sportsmanship banner.
